They were built in the 1930s and they were known as "Blue Geese." They got their name because they were painted dark blue and cream. They originally ran on Madison Street with a conductor and motorman on board. You entered only through the three front doors. The conductor sat in the middle of the car just before the center doors and collected fare as the passengers went by. You had to leave the car by the center or rear doors.
