I know it will take forever to find the actual post, but i did a search for toots rago and this page came up. Im trying to get info on him. My fathers family (Kilheeney) grew up in roseland.

: Kriss, what I would suggest to you if you have access to Face Book, is to go to It is a group of about 1,178 members. I am sure that I have seen revues about Toots Rago on there. If not post a comment in that Remembering Old Roseland like you have posted on this guestbook. I'm sure you will get some information including a few photos.
Take care Kriss, hope this helps.

I remember spending Saturday shopping in downtown Roseland. Stu DeYoung hobby shop. Of course Gatleys and Green River old fashioned days. Watching baseball in Palmer Park. Seeing old doc. Novak. I remember the prettiest girl on the Southside living down the street from me Teri M. Being able to play outside all day and coming home when the street lights came on. The safety of walking around to and from friends houses.

Sad but true...I was working doing repairs at body shops around twenty years ago and I got a call to a shop on 119th St. just down the street from Scanlon school on Perry. I was excited about it because I lived blocks from there it was across from the old Jewel. I went in the shop and the owner asked if I was lost. I told him I used to live right down the street ...he said you don't live there now do you? And asked if I'd leave and send someone was just so sad.
